Essays ~

Essays related to the various poetic genres of the site are welcome here.  One obvious possibility is for every poet to write about their poetic autobiography. Say for example "Haiku and I ~ A personal memoir".  Another possibility for a scholar/ critic is to review some poet of their choice examining their poetry in general.   Please don't review a published book here. You have another section "Reviews", for reviewing published books. .Haiku Groups in various parts of the earth may introduce their individual group also here by presenting an introductory essay.  Other scholarly essays  related to the genres are also welcome.

thought that is yet naught

silence sound professed itself to be silent in silence sound was perceived as
t a p

a random sound that went ta p ta p ta p a pulse a sound wave of perception perception gave each ensuing sound a name t a p

perception was i i perceived sound from the sound of silence thus i was born in the vacuum of soundlessness born with sound thus perceived i found the abstract substance of perceptive sound
in
thought

i combined various sounds of thought i sorted them out into letters of thought i combined various thoughts of sounds of letters to perceive thoughts of sounds of words the words of thought i strung into sentences of thought simple thought moved towards complex thoughts perceiving thought to be when it apparently was at rest i remembered thought with perception thought thus continued to be remembered and perceived and blew totally out of proportion
into
mind

my mind is limitless my mind continues to envelop more space for perceived thought in the vacuum of thoughtlessness as thoughtfulness for millions of years it painfully accumulates knowledge of perceptive thought grabs thought from an already satiated memory of thoughtfulness

by my conscious effort in my subconscious periphery into my unconscious storehouse memory of thought can outdo any parameter of conscious thought which in turn can only encompass what i ensue to thought till satiation stills the effort of perceptive thought

in the waves of the ocean of sound-fullness thought moves
to and fro
up and down
reaching out
receding to ebb
laying low thought seeks thought magnetically from dormant memory it rises again as is bid never to die

after embracing all thought in perception and accretion of various sound thoughts thought thus finds thought reaches saturation point thought lets go the perceptive knowledge of thought
ta p
ta p
ta p
i let go perceptive thought and revert back into oblivion soundlessness thoughtlessness the void where thoughtful knowledge of all thought resides in dormancy

to settle in thoughtlessness
thought must let go thought
sentence thought
word thought
letter thought
sound thought
perceptive thought
to reside in the bliss of thoughtlessness with thought that is yet naught
