Not sure whether this
is true, or a rumour
born out of the fantasies
of an ardent, hardened,
never-say-die naturalist

nevertheless, be it be
true or not, there's something
else which does, beyond
doubt, possess the -purported-
destructive ability of the oven:

military service, limited
to men,  has  pronounced
antisocial, indeed, catastrophical
effects, driving a wedge
between man and woman

one species still remains
in the realm of love;
the other, not inadvertently,
gets programmed to be
devoted to destruction

compulsory military service
alters your insides so that
you are no longer  human;
if this is not molecular
change, what else is?
