Welcome to Wonder Haiku Worlds Kaa Na Kalyanasundaram. I hope you post Tamizh translations too. We have quillpad facilities for Indian scripts. I notice from your bio that you are a prolific Haijin. We hope you post more Haiku in Tamizh and English. I also request you to give our site link to other Tamizh Haijin-s.

Are you in anyway related to the legendary Kaa Na Subramaniam?

The capitals for first lines are not necessary:most publish now without the capitals in English.

Thank you for this uniquely poetic haiku. I am eager to see how you would translate this into Tamizh or what the Tamizh original was!

Dear Narayanan Raghunathan,

Iam not related to the legend Kaa Na Subramaniam.
Ka Na Subramanyam (Ka Na Su - 31.1.1912 to 16.12.1988) was born in Valangaiman in Thanjavur. Ka Na Su's first literary influences go back to his father, who held English classical literature in esteem.

With a B.A. degree from Annamalai university, he showed great aptitude for writing. In 1935-36 Ka Na Su came in contact with Manikodi. As one of the great litterateurs of India, he wrote novels, short stories, poems and literatrary criticism in the course over 50 years of a persisting literary creative period, numbering over 70 books. His first novel, Pasi' was published in 1943.

He was also a great translator of English works into Tamil and Tamil works into English.

Iam Native of Kavanur, a small village in Vellore Dist.,Tamil Nadu. My full name is Kaavanur Nayanapillai Kalyanasundaram.

Thankyou much for your interest shown on me. Kindly do read my haiku poems both in english and Tamil also.

Thanking you,
Kaa.na.kalyanasundaram.
