"The Haiku Handbook" by William J Higginson with Penny Harter,  is a remarkable book, by now an indispensible posession of almost every Haijin writing in any Language (except the Japanese) who reads English! If you are serious about Haiku and would like a handy reference book, this is surely the book. It is  a perfect handbook for all occassions, with its elaborate List of Season words, precise Glossary and a fearsome Bibliography! The book has a subtitle "How to Write, Share and Teach Haiku". I would rather expand the subtitle to "How to Read, Write, Share and Teach Haiku"
