in the rivers pool
a mahican sees his face 
as part of its roaming course_
of that waterface
this child of spirits reasons
by following he will know_

An ancient Mahican child sees his reflection, his waterface, and feels he is a -part- of that river. This, a condensation of a short story I'd written several years ago.
