A lapse in human judgement can be cataclysmic, Geert? At least that's how I read it...the power of words and how we use them...A great one for Good Friday, too!
Dear Keith,
'the coalition of the willing,' was used by Bush to attack Iraq. One day, by a slip of the tongue he was talking about ' a coalition of the killing'... Good Friday is a part of his religion. I am agnostic, so I made not such a connection. But feel free to do so yourself...
For me a haibun, haiga, haiku or tanka has a connection with observations of our day-to-day life. So I don't use them for a retrospective of the developments of historical facts nor for interpretations of the Bible, the Koran, etc. But in this matter I can only speak for myself with respect for axioms of religion and those who need walking with angels or talking with devils. A haiku is a free matter, for that reason this blog can be an open house. I feel grateful for that.
