I understood "dreadlocks" better too after looking at an image of a plum tree, with a hint from Magyar, (here is the image I found). Although I have seen plum trees before, it helped to remind myself for the occasion. Very well evoked Keith. "dreadlocks bowing" brings an hermetic echo suggesting (to me) the austere and self-effacing love that generates the glory we enjoy as spring-time. "bowing ... in the fragrance of spring" ... here even that concealed hardship finds a relief (fulfillment) in the abundant joy! Excellent and subtle, thank you!
Many thanks, Shyam, for the penetrating appreciation of this piece! And thanks also for the amazingly beautiful image of the plum tree you so graciously supplied to corroborate your in-depth analysis!
