Dear Nanda so much humaneness! I relate well!

The use of "like" seems not necessary[is implicit] here after the pause! Perhaps, you included it to add inner assonance a "la-kara prayogam" [ a technique related to sound "la"(L)] ! Yes it works well and the word "like" seems essential from a poet's perspective ~

Who said a haiku should not sound good ?

li lim
li lu
li lo

I really appreciate the HIndi translation, Rebba.

NNarayanan, a good thought; it will be good to have a Haiku sound good!

Great one, Nanda! When I first started writing haiku, I frequently used the word "like", but gradually refrained from doing so as I learned more about the art of writing haiku. If I had to rewrite yours, I would say:

little muslim girls
in light blue head-dress:
a flock of doves

But this is a great piece, nonetheless!
