The Eyes of God
Jean, a French painter and poet
Posted by Johnny Sat, Mar 11th 2006, 20:44 :: English
Jean, a French poet and painter, works in his light filled studio in the French hills, as a recluse with many paintings, sketches, and pages filled with poetry. He draws a picture of a compassionate Jesus. The watercolor painting comes to life amongst all the other familiar canvas faces. The painting clearly shows forth all the images of royalty. Heaven opens embracing Earth. After the day filled with brushes, paint, canvas and imagination Jean sits in solitude reading his favorite Bible Book about this Jesus. Then prayer sets the mood for sleep. Days pass and the rains come then a drip from the ceiling falls on the painting of Jesus. Before Jean could rescue the painting only the eyes remained on the canvas, everything else was washed out. Jean’s mind filled with sudden inspiration as the eyes followed her around the room. Jean smiled, “the eyes of God are watching me.”

In the picture frame
The omnipresence of God
He is watching me
