| Silvija Butkovic was born on December 6, 1964. in Osijek. She is an amateur art photographer, held several common and independent photography and haiga exhibitions, received several prizes in Croatia and abroad. She is a journalist and publishes poetry, short stories and haiku She takes part in meeetings of the poets in Croatia, her haiku being published in the haiku miscelanies and literature journals. So far she published a book of poetry Dotaknuta snom (Touched by the dream) in 2004 and a book with haiku/haigas Oslobodjena kap/A released drop/La goccia Assolta in English, Italian and Croatian, in Djakovo, 2007. Her haigas may be seen on www.worldhaiku.net/haiga, being highly prized, she was given a title Master of Haiga. |
